Bali Visa Guide for Long-Stay Villa Renters

Visa options for staying in Bali long-term. Tourist visa, B211A, KITAS, and how to extend your stay legally.

Planning a long stay in your Bali villa? Here are the visa options available to you.

Visa on Arrival (30 days)

Available to most nationalities. $500,000 IDR (~$35) at the airport. Can be extended once for another 30 days (total 60 days). Extension costs ~$30-50 through an agent.

B211A Visa (60 days)

Must be applied for before arrival (online or through agent). Costs $100-$200 through an agent. Extendable up to 180 days total (4 extensions of 30 days each). Best option for 2-6 month stays.

KITAS (Stay Permit)

For those working or investing in Bali. Requires sponsorship from an Indonesian company. Valid for 1-2 years. More complex and expensive ($1,000+).

Tips

Use a local visa agent -- they handle everything for $30-80. Do not overstay -- penalties are strict. Keep copies of your passport and visa documents in your villa safe. Carry your passport when traveling between islands.
