Getting around Bali is easy once you know the options. Here is everything you need to know about transportation from your villa.

Scooter Rental

Most popular option. $3-5/day or $60-80/month. International driving permit technically required. Helmet always. Be careful in traffic -- Bali roads can be chaotic.

Grab (Ride-hailing)

Like Uber for Southeast Asia. Cheap for short trips ($1-3 in most areas). Not allowed in some hotel/resort areas. App works well in tourist areas.

Private Driver

Best for day trips and airport transfers. $40-60/day for a car with driver. We can arrange through our WhatsApp. Very convenient for families.

Walking

Possible in some areas (Seminyak, central Ubud, Sanur boardwalk) but sidewalks are limited. Not practical for most villa locations.

Monthly renters: scooter. Short-stay families: private driver + Grab. Couples: scooter for daily, driver for day trips.
